8th July 2020
Following the recent updated information provided by the Victorian Government, please note:
Our Victorian sites are operating as normal whilst complying to the new Victorian Government guidelines.
Border closures
Given the recent closure of the NSW / VIC border, we are working closely with our transport providers to manage any possible impact on distribution. Our transport partners have advised that freight operators are exempt from the closures and work is well underway to obtain the required permits for border crossings. We anticipate some possible border delays as processes are established, however we have excellent stock levels and therefore do not envisage any impact to our supply or service at present.
Social distancing measures
As with most businesses, since March we have had in place all the appropriate social distancing requirements across our sites including personal hygiene measures, and we are continually focussed on ensuring we maintain those good practices.
Given the current hot spot areas in Victoria please be advised that our Victorian sales staff will continue to work from home using phone and video communication with our customers on an ongoing basis.
Our track and trace processes are well established across all sites. We record the names and contact details of all visitors and monitor the degree of contact that all visitors have with individuals or groups whilst on site. We are continuing to minimise the visitors to site in general at this time.
Because of the geographical location of our main Melbourne sites, we are continuing with our now well-established precautions on site and have also now implemented some additional measures to keep our employees safe. These include:
- Daily temperature checks
- Mandatory completion of daily COVID-19 declaration forms by each employee/visitor/contractor
- Disciplined cleaning and sanitation programs
- Support of COVID testing program as outlined by the Victorian Government
- Evaluation of wearing of masks on site
- Much tighter reviews of the contractors and visitors we allow on our sites.

1st April 2020
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we want to reassure you that the wellbeing of our employees and customers continues to be our highest priority.
All Iplex and Rocla sites remain open, we are operating as usual and we remain vigilant about social distancing practices at our sites. Please be advised of some further safeguards we are implementing for our Delivery and Collections processes:
Contactless and Paperless Deliveries
We will no longer be providing a physical Customer Copy Delivery Docket at the time of delivery. Instead, an electronic copy of the docket will be emailed on the day of the delivery prior to the delivery arriving to site. The email will be sent to the current recipient of the Sales Order Acknowledgement.
Customer Collects Processes
In addition to the social practicing guidelines already in place, we will now require all customers or couriers collecting products from our sites to complete a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire and to undertake temperature checks via thermo scanning.
We have also introduced some additional restrictions to accessible areas on some sites, so it is important that drivers coming to our sites are made aware that they are required to follow all specific instructions from Iplex and Rocla teams whilst on site.
A note on State Border Crossing
Now that state borders have been closed, we have received many enquiries regarding whether our drivers are able to continue to cross the borders. At this stage, there are no restrictions on our drivers crossing state borders, however please note that we may experience some delays due to border crossing controls.
Thank you again for your continued support at this time and reassure you that we are committed to continuing to provide the standard of service and support that you have come to expect from Iplex and Rocla. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will continue to update you as necessary.

23rd March 2020
In light of the recent announcements from the Government, please be assured at this time that Iplex and Rocla sites remain open and we are operating as usual.
We remain committed to supporting our employees, our customers and suppliers. In response to requirements set out by the Government and the World Health Organisation’s recommendations for social distancing and hygiene practices, we have implemented several additional measures and safeguards to protect your employees, our employees, delivery drivers and members of the public.
Some of the key changes we have made:
- Our customer service team will continue to operate as normal and have been given the necessary tools to work from home.
- We have a good supply of locally produced product and our manufacturing sites will continue to operate as normal. We will advise of any interruptions to supply from imported products if customer orders are impacted
- We have limited face to face customer visits unless business critical. Our sales teams have communication capabilities in place such as video conferencing and phone calls to maintain a high level of sales support to our customers.
- In light of the social distancing recommendations, we now require our drivers and any drivers coming to our Customer Collects areas to attempt to maintain, wherever practicable, a minimum distance of 1.5m when delivering our products. Drivers will not be required to present the electronic mobile device to attain an electronic signature for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your continued support at this time. We are committed to continuing to provide the standard of service and support that our customers have come to expect from Iplex and Rocla.
