Iplex fabrication capabilities providing solutions for one of the largest gold mines in Papua New Guinea.

Project Overview

Iplex was able to provide a fabricated solution for the ongoing maintenance programme of pipelines used for water and sea water supply for one of the largest mine sites in Papua New Guinea.

PE100 polyethylene pressure pipes are widely used for both water and sea water. The pipelines for the site involved mostly POLIplex® PE100 pipe spools with flanges on either end. With a combination of straight POLIplex® PE100 pipe spools and fabricated fittings such as sweep bends, segmented bends, wye, tee junction sand concentric reducers.

These fittings and spools were fabricated in diameters between DN315 and DN1200.

The Iplex fabricated team’s experience delivered high quality finished fabricated products, including some intricate spools requiring fabrication over three axes (x, y & z). The ongoing project continues to showcase Iplex’s capabilities in delivering solutions to our customers.
